About Me

My interest in the arts began in my early teen years growing up in Laureldale,Pennsylvania, I was doing pencil and charcoal drawings of anything  I thought I could draw.

As my interest in the arts expanded my Father purchased me a fixed focus camera. Now I could take pictures and make drawings from them. As  time went on my love of photography began. 
I started taking pictures of everything that looked interesting. When I purchased a 35mm camera the quality of my pictures improved tremendously.

During my college years I took photographic courses available to learn composition, rule of thirds and many other rules to become a good photographer.

I joined local camera clubs, entered monthly slide competitions and won numerous awards. I knew my photographic talent was recognized from winning awards and complemented by Andy Purdon (Purdon Photography) who worked for Kodak for many years. 

I became Vice-President and then President of a local camera club for many years.

As years progressed with digital photography becoming mainstream I made the change from 35mm format to digital format.
